E. Alexander Wiegers, Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Mr. Wiegers, co-founder and managing member, is responsible for the daily management of WCP and its investment activities. He currently represents WCP’s interests on the boards of Hart Energy Publications and KPA and participates in the financial management and development of most of its portfolio companies. Prior to WCP, Mr. Wiegers was an associate of Western Growth Capital, a major institutional private equity fund founded in 1994, where he was involved in the financing and corporate development of Qdoba Restaurants Inc., a franchisor of quick service Mexican grills and Mountainsmith Inc., a manufacturer of specialty backpacks. Mr. Wiegers has over thirty years of experience in the investment banking business as a managing director of Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. and previously as a partner at Lehman Brothers and Dean Witter. Throughout his investment banking career, Mr. Wiegers was active in the financing and corporate development of major industrial, natural resource, media and communications companies. He currently serves as a director of Darby Overseas Investors Ltd. an investment firm specializing in Latin American companies, as well as Hart Energy Publications and KPA. He is a past director of Dillon Read, American City Business Journals, Pulte Corporation, Weatherford International, Esquire Inc. and Technimetrics Inc. He is also a trustee of the
Patrick Maley, Partner
Mr. Maley has over thirty years experience in sales, marketing and general management. In 2004 Mr. Maley joined WCP in conjunction with the acquisition of KPA LLC. From 1994-2003 he was the CEO for three high tech companies, Dante Software, Collaboratek and Client Systems. He held senior sales management positions with Sequent Computer Systems and Intel. He is a director of KPA LLC, DG2L Ltd., D'lance Golf Inc. and KidsTek. Mr. Maley has a BS from the US Naval Academy and an MPA from the University of Colorado.
B. Deane Kreitler, Partner
Mr. Kreitler is the portfolio manager for WCP’s public equity and fixed income investments. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kreitler did independent research for a limited partnership focused on small capitalization equity investments. He also was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equities Division and a Vice President of trading for Montgomery Securities and Banc of America Securities.
